Step 1
Preparation
Prepare the surface you're working on by thoroughly cleaning it. Use BEEST RV Roof Cleaner & Degreaser or a suitable cleaning solution to remove all debris, dirt, oil, grease, or any other foreign matter that may interfere with the adhesion process. Rinse and allow the surface to completely dry.
Step 2
Condition Check
Check the condition of the surface and make any necessary repairs. The surface should be dry, clean, and structurally sound before proceeding with the application of the primer.
Step 3
Stir the Primer
Before using, stir the BEEST Multipurpose Primer properly until it attains a uniform consistency. Avoid shaking the primer gallon as it can cause air bubbles.
Step 4
Apply the Primer
Using a brush, a roller, or a spray, apply the primer evenly on the surface. Ensure coverage is uniform for maximum effectiveness.
Step 5
Drying Time
Wait for the primer to dry completely before moving to the next step. The primer typically dries rapidly, but drying time may vary based on temperature and humidity.
Step 6
Apply Topcoat
Once the primer is dry, you can now apply your BEEST coatings or another topcoat. The primer significantly increases the adhesion of the topcoat, ensuring long-lasting results.
Step 7
Clean-Up
After the application, clean your tools promptly with warm soapy water to ensure easy future use.
Step 8
Safety Warning
Always follow all safety guidelines when using BEEST Multipurpose Primer. Ensure your work area is well-ventilated and consider wearing safety equipment such as gloves and goggles if necessary.

shhh Mr help you
Beest product are the best
So I really wish I had this primer before I painted part of the roof of my 5th wheel. I am almost done with painting the roof so I'm going to use this primer before I apply the last of the roof coating. I need to purchase more of the BEEST RV roof sealant to finish my roof. After I apply the primer I will update my review to see if there is any difference between the other brand primer that I used and this one. I was very happy at the quality and ease of applying the BEEST RV roof sealant so I'm sure this is a quality product too.

Efficient Surface Prep
This has been a great choice for refinishing the outdoor concrete steps at my new house. Its smooth application and quick drying time made the surface prep for painting a breeze. For anyone embarking on a concrete project, this primer is a reliable choice- I'm sure it works great for other priming applications, too.

Great for contractors, massive overkill for DIYers
I acquired this primer (part number B-5040) from Beest for my house exterior, which is stucco. There is a problem run-off area that is susceptible to mold, soiling, and stucco degradation (a gutter is in my future) that needed refinishing. This product looked too good to pass up.
Like any job where I want a good result, most of the work is in preparation. In my case, it was scrubbing and washing the stucco to get the surface dirt and as much mold as possible off the wall, and then reapplying stucco to missing areas. The work area is above a patio, so I'm on the fourth step of a six-foot ladder, and the patio is about 50 feet across (lots of up-and-down the ladder, and dragging it around). I'm a do-it-yourself homeowner, not a contractor or a building professional, so I tried to set reasonable goals for my progress. I was hopeful to get the cleaning, stucco application, and priming done in one day, and then paint another day.
The picture on the Amazon listing looks like the can is short and squat, but it's the same size and shape as all other 1-gallon paint cans. There is a locking ring on it so the lid doesn't come off during shipping and I pried this off with a pliers (there's probably a better tool for this). I was surprised to find gray-colored primer inside instead of white.
Cleaning the wall went quicker than expected, since I had help, so I moved on to the stucco. I'm no mason, and my stucco job reveals this, but I got the bare areas covered. Next, I mixed the primer with a steel power mixer attachment on my drill. This primer is WAY stickier than any other primer I've seen. To apply it, I used my battery-powered paint sprayer and thinned the primer by 25%, per the sprayer's instructions. Turns out I could have thinned to 50% and probably should have.
The spraying was challenging because of the primer's stickiness. There are probably better sprayers more suited to this sort of primer. As my sprayer ate through my stock of batteries I worked my way down the wall. Interim sprayer cleanup and final cleanup were easy and odor-free because this is water-based primer. I met my goal of cleaning, stucco, and primer in a single day.
The weather conditions may not have been ideal when I applied the primer (climbing from 80 to just over 100 degrees, with humidity in the 20's and full sun), but the primer remained tacky even after baking in the full light of the afternoon sun and it only cooling to the upper 70s overnight. When I started painting the next day the primer grabbed onto it like the paint owed it money. Great stuff.
As far as whether YOU should get this for your project, well, are you a contractor? If you are and your client is willing to pay for it, then this stuff is GREAT. If you're a DIYer like me, you should probably look elsewhere. We simply don't have the tools or techniques for such a professional-level product, and it is priced far above primer you can get at the local home center. I think I could have done a good job with the Z-brand stuff and it would have served my needs.
