What are the parts of the HD2000-S?

The HD2000-S has a lot of different parts that combine to make it the great tool that it is.

Tank

HD2000-S Quick Start

Simple step-by-step instructions to help you get the most from your HD2000-S sprayer.

Open the box and take out what’s inside.

Take out what's inside the accessories bag. You should have:

  • Valve Handle
  • Telescoping Wand
  • 4' Hose
  • Two Nozzles
  • Charger
  • Set of Gaskets & O-Rings

Thread the wing-nut hose end onto the spray and tighten the connection.

Thread the hose to the valve handle and tighten. Next, tighten the wand onto the valve handle.

To prime your sprayer, add clean water to the tank, switch on the power, and squeeze the handle until water flows smoothly through the system without air bubbles.

Basic HD2000-S Troubleshooting

Don't let a malfunctioning sprayer keep you from your gardening chores - use our troubleshooting guide to fix common problems with the HD2000-S battery-powered sprayer.

Check your charger

To do this, try plugging the charger into the unit. If the unit is charging, the charger light will turn red. When doing so, make sure that you are plugging the charger into a working outlet.

Check your Battery

Plug the charger firmly into the battery charger port on the base of the unit, then plug into a 110v outlet. Your battery will last many years but may need to be replaced eventually.

Inspect the nozzle

If the spray is not coming out of the nozzle or the spray pattern is not as expected, inspect the nozzle for blockages or damage. Unscrew the nozzle and clean it thoroughly with water to remove any dirt or debris. If the nozzle is damaged, replace it with a new one.

How To Replace your Sprayer Battery

The HD2000-S uses reliable technology designed for years of dependable service. Over time, you may notice your battery holding less charge or only powering shorter jobs. When this happens, replacement batteries are available on the PetraTools website.

Turn the sprayer off and empty all liquid from the tank.

Turn your sprayer over and remove the five screws from the bottom plate to get access to the battery compartment.

Remove the wire connections from the battery by pulling them off the battery. A pair of pliers may be needed.

Push the red wire connection on your replacement battery's Red (+) terminal. Next, push the black wire connection on the Black (-) terminal.

Place the battery back in the bottom of the sprayer and reinstall the bottom plate. Tighten the five screws. Test the sprayer function.

How To Clean your Sprayer

Maintaining a clean HD2000-S Battery-Powered Sprayer will keep it in good working order. Here's how:

Empty any remaining solution from the tank and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.

Fill the tank with warm, soapy water.

Step Step 2

Turn on the pump and run the warm water through the pump, hose and nozzle.

Drain the tank. Rinse with clean water to remove any residual soap.

Let the sprayer air-dry, and store it in a cool, dry place.

How To Prime the Pump

If your sprayer pump is running but no liquid is coming out, you may need to try priming your sprayer again. This can happen after the pump sits dry for extended periods.

Add 1 gallon of warm water and 1-2 Teaspoons of liquid dish soap to the tank

Turn on the pump and squeeze the valve handle. Lock the handle in place and let the unit run for up to 10 minutes. Gently shaking the sprayer or tapping on the base can free trapped air bubbles.

Every HD2000-S comes with two versatile nozzles to help you tackle your toughest spraying jobs. Here’s what each of your new HD2000-S nozzles can do:

Brass Nozzle

Our high-quality brass nozzle is like a garden hose which you can adjust for a strong jet of liquid.

Flat Fan Nozzle

This delivers a nice, even, and wide fan of liquid which is perfect for green grass paint or mulch paint.

How To Prepare your Sprayer for Extended Storage

Before you put your sprayer away for the season, you should do a few things to ensure it’s in good shape for next season.

Step 1

Clean the unit by running warm, soapy water through the unit. Drain the tank, hose, and wand.

Fully charge the battery before storage.

Store sprayer upright in a warm area; avoid long-term storage in temperatures below 32°F (0°C).

PetraTools provides a standard 3-month full warranty for manufacturer defects. If customer registers for extended warranty, PetraTools provides an additional 3 months limited warranty. Limited warranty covers replacement units due to manufacturer defects (shipping paid by customer).

PetraTools sprayers are available for free returns for 30 days post-purchase. All other chemicals and solutions are not eligible for returns or exchanges at this time. Please contact Customer Service if you have received a damaged product so we can replace it for you.
